JUNOS International

blurhash

Internationally connected. Liberal. European.

JUNOS stands for Austria looking beyond its own borders. As young liberals, we are convinced that the major issues facing our generation do not end at national borders. Freedom, security, prosperity, human rights, migration, climate protection, and democracy require European and international solutions.

That is why we are actively involved in Austria, Europe, and around the world: in the liberal youth movement, in international umbrella organizations, and through exchanges with partner organizations from many countries. Our goal is clear: a free, democratic, cosmopolitan, and capable Europe.

Our International Positions

Our International Work

LYMEC – Our Liberal Voice in Europe
JUNOS is part of LYMEC, the European Liberal Youth. LYMEC connects young liberal organizations from across Europe and works toward a liberal, federal Europe. Through LYMEC, we contribute our perspectives to the European liberal youth movement, exchange ideas with partner organizations, and develop joint positions on key issues shaping Europe’s future.

IFLRY – Liberal Youth Worldwide
Through IFLRY, JUNOS is part of the global liberal youth family. The International Federation of Liberal Youth brings together over 100 liberal youth organizations across all continents. Its focus is on human rights, democracy, the rule of law, international solidarity, and the question of what liberal responses to global challenges should look like.

BJV – Youth Policy Across Borders
Networking in youth policy is also important in Austria. The Federal Youth Council (BJV) is the legally established representative body for young people in Austria and represents approximately three million people under the age of 30. The BJV also brings young voices from Austria to the European and international stages—for example, through the European Youth Forum, the EU Youth Dialogue, European Youth Delegates, and UN Youth Delegates.

The International Committee
JUNOS’s international work is coordinated by the International Officer together with the International Committee. Would you like to learn more about our international work or collaborate with us? Then please feel free to get in touch! We’re also always looking for motivated members who want to get involved with JUNOS on an international level.
