Learning from Each Other Across Borders
On 15 and 16 June, our Secretary General, Julian Fritsch, took part in the Young Leaders Seminar of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) in Taipei. The seminar brought together senior board members from liberal youth organisations across the world to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and build new connections.
One of the most interesting aspects was seeing how differently each member organisation operates. While the political environments could hardly be more diverse, many of the challenges we face are remarkably similar. Whether it is recruiting members, organising our work internally, or communicating our political message, the discussions showed that many challenges transcend national borders and that there is much we can learn from each other.
Together with the JOVD, we also presented our cooperation on the trainers' weekend and the development of our training programme. The presentation was met with great interest from the other participating organisations and sparked valuable discussions.
For us, the Young Leaders Seminar was a valuable opportunity to take home new ideas and strengthen existing connections. Events like these demonstrate the importance of international exchange and cooperation among liberal youth organisations.
