Beyond the Algorithm" in Bukarest

From October 29 to November 1, 2026, Kristina from the International Committee participated in the seminar “Beyond the Algorithm: Youth, Disinformation & Democratic Resilience in Eastern Europe” at the Parliament in Bucharest, Romania. Organized by IFLRY and VVD, the seminar brought together young liberals from various European countries to address issues of disinformation, digital campaigning, and democratic resilience.

Through case studies from Bulgaria and the Netherlands, participants gained fascinating insights into different experiences and strategies for dealing with disinformation. A crisis simulation also provided an opportunity to practice dealing with complex political challenges. The program was complemented by valuable insights and experience reports from various organizations.

The international exchange offered a great opportunity to learn from one another, discover new perspectives, and gain inspiration for our political work in Austria.
