From 3 to 5 July, we gathered in Steyr to network, debate and jointly set the course for the future of JUNOS. Thanks to the lovely summer weather, we were also able to enjoy the town of Steyr to the full.

At the JUNOS Vienna Regional Congress at the end of June, a new Regional Board was elected. Lisa Ficzko was re-elected as Regional President. She will continue to lead JUNOS Vienna together with Regional Vice-President Daniel Höllmüller and Regional Manager Johanna Kaltenbrunner. The Board is completed by Maja Skrybus, Valentin Wiesinger, Alina Schlenz, Lian Schelkle, and Simon Stelzer.

Our Kathrin Kaindl (member of the International Committee and city council member in Korneuburg) has been accepted into the Young Elected Politicians (YEP) Program of the European Committee of the Regions.

From June 18 to 21, Krystyna, Outreach Officer at the International Committee, attended the Libertas Bootcamp 2026 in Brussels.

On 15 and 16 June, our Secretary General, Julian Fritsch, took part in the Young Leaders Seminar of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) in Taipei. The seminar brought together senior board members from liberal youth organisations across the world to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and build new connections.

From 11 to 14 June, JUNOS took part in the General Assembly of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) in Taiwan. Together with young liberals from around the world, we discussed current political challenges, exchanged experiences, and took the opportunity to build new connections.

On May 16, 2026, the night of the Eurovision Song Contest final in Austria, we hosted an ESC party together with the NEOS EU Office under the theme “United by Europe.”

On 10 May 2026, a JUNOS delegation took part in the International Liberation and Commemoration Ceremony at the Mauthausen Memorial. Together with thousands of other participants, we honoured the victims of National Socialism and commemorated the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp.
