Liberal Perspectives from Taiwan

From 11 to 14 June, JUNOS took part in the General Assembly of the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) in Taiwan. Together with young liberals from around the world, we discussed current political challenges, exchanged experiences, and took the opportunity to build new connections.

One of the highlights for us was gaining a better understanding of Taiwan’s political situation. Through discussions with our hosts and fellow delegates, we learned more about the latest developments on the ground and gained new perspectives on the region’s geopolitical challenges.

The General Assembly also saw the election of new Vice-Presidents. We congratulate everyone who was elected and wish them every success in their new roles.

The General Assembly was also a great success for JUNOS. Our candidate, Elija Lambourne, was elected as Auditor in the by-election. In addition, two motions submitted by JUNOS were adopted: one on surrogacy and another on the protection of intellectual property.

Our time in Taiwan once again demonstrated the value of international cooperation among young liberals. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with our partner organisations across the world.
