Elija and Krystyna at the LYMEC Liberal Hack in Madrid
From April 24 to 26, Kristina and Elija from the International Committee participated in the Liberal Hack organized by the European Liberal Forum (ELF) and the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC) in Madrid. Together with representatives of liberal youth organizations from across Europe, they developed ideas and solutions to address current political challenges.
JUNOS was represented by two teams: one focused on “Resilience: A Whole-of-Society Approach,” and the other on “Defending Liberal Democracy against Hybrid Threats.” The teams developed concrete concepts and plans for their implementation.
The results of the Liberal Hack were summarized in a booklet that will be distributed to relevant decision-makers at the European level, including Members of the European Parliament. Particularly encouraging: The team working on “Defending Liberal Democracy against Hybrid Threats” impressed the jury and was given the opportunity to present its ideas in person in Brussels in September 2026.
